SSC CGL 2026 recruits for Group B and Group C desk posts in central ministries. Exam Pattern Compared

SSC CPO Paper 2 in 2026 has General Intelligence and Reasoning (20 questions for 40 marks), General Knowledge (20 questions for 40 marks), Quantitative Aptitude (20 questions for 40 marks) and English Comprehension (100 questions for 200 marks). Total is 160 questions for 320 marks. There is negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper 2. Paper 2 level is higher than Paper 1.

SSC CPO vs SSC CGL Tough?

Is SSC CPO tough? The written part of SSC CPO is moderate, but the full selection is tough because SSC CPO adds physical and medical filters. SSC CGL written maths is tougher and competition per post is higher, but SSC CGL has no ground test to fail you.
